عملية تكبير الذقن في لبنان

Chin augmentation surgery is the surgical procedure that contributes to enlarging the size of the chin to match the shape of the face.

This surgery is often performed with rhinoplasty in order to obtain a satisfactory result, as the size of the chin can be affected by the shape of the new nose.

Am I eligible for this surgery?

Chin augmentation surgery is an option for people who are not comfortable with the shape of their face. Every face or profile has it. The best qualified are patients with a small chin but normal jaw function.

I will discuss your options after evaluating your general health and any pre-existing health conditions or risk factors.

How is that done?

Chin augmentation surgery takes 30 to 45 minutes, unless it is performed with other facial surgery such as rhinoplasty or facelift.

This surgery can be performed under local or general anesthesia, depending on the patient's preference and my recommendations.

The surgery begins by making an incision inside the mouth to create a pocket where I will insert the solid silicone filling just above the bone and along the lower jaw. When finished, the filling is secured in place by sticking to the bone and the incision is closed with small stitches.

The same surgery can be performed through a small incision in the natural creases under the chin, depending on the patient's condition and the size of the implant.

How long is the recovery period?

After surgery, the chin is fixed with tape to ensure the placement of the implant and to reduce the swelling. In most cases, it is not necessary to sleep in the hospital and you can quickly return to your daily activities, but you should not make a great effort during the recovery period. If the surgery was done through the mouth, you will have to drink liquids for the first few days.

The sutures disappear ten days after the surgery, and there are no external scars. If I have an incision under the chin, I will remove the sutures a week after the surgery and the incision will leave a very small scar, almost invisible.

Be sure to ask all questions about your expectations during the recovery period.
